Political advisory body to overhaul members' performance

The Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee has decided to overhaul duty performance of its members, a spokesperson said Wednesday at a press conference.

Wang Guoqing, spokesperson for the annual session of the CPPCC National Committee, said provisional rules on the duty performance have been endorsed and would be publicized soon.

The CPPCC National Committee requires its members to understand the political consultative conference mechanism, know well political consultation and excel at policy discussion, as well as discipline themselves, comply with rules and keep integrity, Wang said, in response to queries about participation of those members.

The CPPCC National Committee pushed forward institutionalization, standardization and routinization of the members' duty performance, Wang said.

The fourth session of the 12th National Committee of the CPPCC is scheduled to open on Thursday. Endi
