No upsurge of resignations from public service: spokesman

Xinhua, March 2, 2016 Adjust font size:

There is no upsurge of resignations from public service in China, Wang Guoqing, spokesman for the annual session of China's top political advisory body, said Wednesday.

Acknowledging there were a number of resignations from government agencies, state-owned enterprises and public institutions, Wang said he did not agree there was an upsurge.

Wang made the remarks at a press conference ahead of the Fourth Session of the 12th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), which will open in Beijing on Thursday.

The flow of talents should be applauded as it is in line with the Communist Party of China's intention of facilitating greater utilization of human resources, and it also shows that China's wise minds are increasingly attracted to entrepreneurship and innovation, said Wang.

On the other hand, employers in the public service should pay attention to creating a more desirable environment to keep the employees, the spokesman said. Endi
