Mexico's Alejandro Inarritu wins Oscar Directing Award for second year in row

Mexican director Alejandro Inarritu won the Academy Award for Directing for second year in a row.

At the 88th Academy Awards Ceremony held at the Dolby Theater Sunday night, the Revenant director gave credits to the film's actor Leonardo DiCaprio in his award-receiving speech.

Inarritu beat strong competitors including Tom McCarthy for Spotlight and Adam McKay for The Big Short to get this year's award.

Last year, Birdman won him the Oscar statuette for Directing.

Inarritu, who has got four Oscar awards so far, is the third director that has ever won the Award for Directing for second year in a row. Endi
