"Deadpool" tops North America box office

"Deadpool" led the box office in North America this weekend as the Oscars Award ceremony is to be unveiled Sunday evening.

This is the third straight weekend that the new superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name topped North America's box office.

The R-rated adventure-hero movie was projected to sell 31.5 million dollars in tickets in the three-day weekend. It has a running sales total of 285.6 million dollars over three weeks.

"Gods of Egypt" ranked second with an estimated 14 million dollars in sales.

Other films listed among the top four of the weekend box office are "Kung Fu Panda 3" and "Risen", with 9 million and 7 million dollars respectively. Enditem
