Chinese vice premier meets Turkish counterpart

Chinese Vice Premier Wang Yang met with his Turkish counterpart Mehmet Simsek on Sunday, pledging to boost cooperation between the two nations.

Wang said China is ready to cooperate with Turkey more closely on infrastructure, trade, finance, security and people-to-people exchanges.

Simsek said Turkey attaches great importance to the ties with China and will deepen cooperation with China within the framework of the Belt and Road initiative in pursuit of common development.

The Turkish deputy prime minister was in China for a G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting on Friday and Saturday in Shanghai. Endi
