Urgent: UN envoy suggests Syria peace talks to be resumed on March 7

UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura suggested to the UN Security Council Friday night that intra-Syrian talks to be resumed on March 7 if the cessation of hostilities to start on Saturday hold.

The announcement was made to the UN Security Council in New York via a video conference.

The Special Envoy is to formally brief the press shortly after the meeting. Endit
