British FTSE 100 rises 1.38 pct on Friday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Friday rose by 1.38 percent, or 83.20 points, to 6,096.01 points.

Share price of Glencore increased by 7.95 percent, topping the gainers of the blue chips. Standard Chartered, Burberry Group, London Stock Exchange Group and Anglo American increased by 7.85 percent, 7.54 percent, 6.95 percent and 6.74 percent respectively.

Royal Bank of Scotland Group led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 7.13 percent, followed by International Consolidated Airlines Group (3.13 percent), Coca-Cola HBC (2.98 percent), Severn Trent (1.30 percent) and Merlin Entertainments (0.97 percent). Endit
