Singapore stocks close 0.63 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 16.56 points, or 0.63 percent, to close at 2,603.40.

A total of 1.14 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1.18 billion Singapore dollars (842.6 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 204 to 165, while 558 others finished unchanged.

The STI index lost 52.11 points, or 1.95 percent, to close at 2,619.96 on Wednesday. Enditem
