British FTSE 100 decreases 1.25 pct on Tuesday

FTSE 100 Index, the British benchmark stock market gauge, Tuesday decreased by 1.25 percent, or 75.42 points, to 5,962.31 points.

Share price of London Stock Exchange Group increased by 13.71 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. InterContinental Hotels Group, Persimmon, Provident Financial and Randgold Resources increased by 3.50 percent, 2.84 percent, 2.50 percent and 2.35 percent respectively.

BHP Billiton led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 6.89 percent, followed by Standard Chartered (6.73 percent), Anglo American (6.34 percent), GKN (6.16 percent) and Aberdeen Asset Management (5.09 percent). Endit
