German teacher crowned Miss Germany 2016

A 26-year-old German teacher has been crowned Miss Germany 2016 in the final held here until late Saturday.

Lena Broeder from Nordwalde in the northwestern part of Germany won the championship in the final. Francesca Orru from Norderstedt was the first runner-up and Katharina Schubert from Wiesbaden the second runner-up.

A total of 24 contestants made their way to the final among the 5000 participants of Miss Germany 2016.

Starting from 1927, Miss Germany has been one of the oldest beauty contests in Germany, which is competed by single German girls aged 16 to 28. Endit
