British FTSE 100 decreases 0.97 pct on Thursday

The FTSE 100 Index, Britain's benchmark stock market gauge, decreased by 0.97 percent, or 58.37 points, to 5,971.95 points on Thursday.

Share price of Centrica increased by 6.85 percent, topping the gainers of the blue chips. International Consolidated Airlines Group, Persimmon, Berkeley Group Holdings and Barratt Developments increased by 2.56 percent, 2.35 percent, 2.15 percent and 2.01 percent respectively.

Anglo American led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 7.70 percent, followed by Standard Chartered (5.48 percent), Barclays (3.81 percent), AstraZeneca (3.51 percent) and Royal Dutch Shell A (3.23 percent). Endit
