Former deputy head of Heilongjiang legislature under probe

Former deputy head of a Chinese provincial legislature is being investigated by prosecutors for allegedly accepting bribes, according to the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) on Monday.

Gai Ruyin, former deputy head of the Standing Committee of the Heilongjiang Provincial People's Congress, has been put under "coercive measures," which may include summons by force, bail, residential surveillance, detention and arrest, the SPP said.

The SPP did not specify what measures had been taken against Gai. Endi
