Iceland's fish catch down 20 pct in Jan.

Iceland's fish catch decreased 20 percent year-on-year in January 2016, according to figures issued Monday by Statistics Iceland.
The total fish caught in January amounted to 73,610 tons, including 35,156 tones of demersal catch and 36,148 tons of pelagic catch, and some shellfish, figures showed.
The total volume in January this year decreased by 18,105 tons of fish compared with that of January last year.
The total fish caught in the period between February 2015 and January 2016 was 1,298,571 tons, an increase of 17 percent compared with 1,110,427 tons of fish caught in the previous 12-month period. Endit
