20 Sri Lankan school students hospitalized from food poisoning

At least 20 Sri Lankan school students were rushed to hospital on Monday after suffering from food poisoning, police said.

The children, aged 8 to 9 years, were students of a local school in Veyangoda of western Sri Lanka.

The students had fallen ill after consuming a morning meal which was provided by the school and had been rushed to a nearby state hospital by the school management.

The local police are conducting further investigations. Endit
