Xinhua, February 15, 2016 Adjust font size:

The act 2 of the 2016 ISAF Extreme Sailing Series will be held in east China's coastal city Qingdao in the end of April, according to organizers on Monday.

The series will attract eight teams to compete in Muscat of Oman, Qingdao of China, Cardiff of Britain, Hamburg of Germany, Sait Petersburg of Russia, Istanbul of Turkey, Lisbon of Portugal and Sydney of Australia, from March to December.

To celebrate its 10th anniversary this year, the sailing series will introduce GC 32 catamaran for the first time to bring fresh experiences for top sailors, like world champions and European champions, said Liu Yu, an official of local organization.

Beside long-distance matches, the event will also feature nearshore short-distance turn-back races this year for more exciting scenes for audience, said Liu.

The ISAF Extreme Sailing Series, launched in 2007, was listed as one of the top four events of the ISAF. Endit
