Israeli soldiers kill knife-wielding Palestinian woman in West Bank

The Israeli military said it killed a young Palestinian woman after she pulled out a knife near a flashpoint holy site in the West Bank city of Hebron on Saturday.
No Israeli were injured in the incident, which occurred near a site known to Israelis as the Tomb of Patriarchs and to Palestinians as the Ibrahim Mosque.
"An assailant drew a knife and attempted to stab an Israel Defense Forces soldier," a military soldier said in a statement. "Forces fired at the perpetrator, resulting in her death," the statement read.
Israel's Ynet news site reported that as the suspect tried to stab the soldier she was pushed by another soldier and accidently stabbed and injured a 30-year-old Palestinian passerby.
The Palestinian news agency of Ma'an identified her as 18-year-old Kilzar Muhammad Abd al-Halim Azmi al-Eweiei from Hebron.
Hebron has been in the center of many of the recent five-month-long wave of Palestinian attacks took place. Some 850 Jewish settlers live in there under heavy Israeli guard, surrounded by tens of thousands of Palestinians.
Almost daily violence between Israelis and Palestinians has killed at least 165 Palestinians and 26 Israelis since mid-September. Endit
