Goran Milovic joins Chongqing Lifan Football Club

Xinhua, February 10, 2016 Adjust font size:

Croatia international Goran Milovic has joined Chinese soccer super league club Chongqing Lifan on a three year deal, the club said Wednesday.

Being a strong defender, Milovic played for Hajduk Split of Croatia since 2012, scoring 4 goals in 115 matches.

He received his first call-up last November for the senior national team and made a debut as a substitute for a friendly against Russia.

Upon the arrival of the fifth and last foreign player of the team, Chang Woe-Ryong, coach of Chongqing Lifan, said he had reviewed Milovic's profile and studied the games Milovic played, adding that he is satisfied with the player's ability and hopes Milovic fits into the team as soon as possible.

Sun Ligang, club general manager, praised Milovic for his professionalism. "He arrived in Chongqing yesterday, and he joined the training session with the team today despite jet lag," said Sun. Endit
