Albanian institutions and the United Nations Children's Fund(UNICEF) signed on Tuesday a cooperation agreement on internet safety for children.
The agreement was signed between the Albania Ministry of Innovation and Public Administration, Ministry of Education and Sports, Ministry of Youth and Social Welfare and Ministry of Interior, in collaboration with UNICEF and in partnership with Children's Human Rights Center of Albania.
UNICEF representative in Albania Antonella Scolamiero said children make up a large number of the internet users worldwide, but the fact is at the same time a matter of great concern.
"UNICEF in Albania is working with the government, private sector and civil society to make the online world safer for kids through public policy, necessary legislative improvements and stronger collaboration with law enforcement and protection services," stated Scolamiero. Enditem
