British FTSE 100 decreases 1 pct on Tuesday

FTSE 100 Index, the British benchmark stock market gauge, Tuesday decreased by 1.00 percent, or 57.17 points, to 5,632.19 points.

Share price of Next PLC increased by 3.65 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. WPP, Carnival, InterContinental Hotels Group and Wolseley increased by 3.36 percent, 2.60 percent, 2.29 percent and 2.26 percent, respectively.

Anglo American led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 11.25 percent, followed by Antofagasta (9.37 percent), Glencore (8.13 percent), BHP Billiton (5.85 percent) and Standard Chartered (5.55 percent). Endit
