Man dies after setting himself on fire outside Kensington Palace

A man died after setting himself on fire on Tuesday outside Kensington Palace, where the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge live in London, local media reported.

Police officers were called to the home of Prince William and his wife Kate on Tuesday morning after reports of a man in his 40s behaving suspiciously.

Local media reported that when the police reached the palace, the man was on fire. Despite the efforts of firefighters and ambulance crews, the man was pronounced dead on the site.

The incident was not being treated as terrorist-related, said a policeman.

A spokesman for the royal family said the Duke and Duchess were not at the palace at the time. Endit
