Malta announces 2016 Isle of MTV Malta event

On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Isle of MTV Malta falls on Thursday, Maltese Minister for Tourism Edward Zammit Lewis announced the program of the branding campaign for the 2016 event scheduled for June 28, 2016.

Addressing a press conference, Zammit Lewis explained that the IoMTV is a spectacular event in offering the finest occasion to raise and promote Malta's profile as a tourism destination.

He stressed that much effort is directed towards ensuring that this event is one of the top festivals in Europe besides being the summer's highest attraction in the music scene on the Maltese Islands.

"This show attracts young people from across Europe and beyond to enjoy this concert in Malta," said the minister.

Zammit Lewis also reiterated that by announcing the date very early and launching the campaign four months prior this massive event, the relative advertising and promotion campaign has been boosted and will be more effective than previous years.

This annual event is a golden opportunity for Malta to continue promoting itself alongside the prestigious MTV brand, said the minister.

The Isle of MTV is an exclusive annual concert offering a four-hour show accessible to the public free of charge and shall be organized for the tenth consecutive year, with an internationally renowned line-up of artists that will perform in Floriana.

The IoMTV show is the apex of a week-long of different events of live music and entertainment including well-known international and local artists. The actual Isle of MTV Malta Special show will be aired across 20 MTV channels in Europe. Endit
