British FTSE 100 decreases 1.43 pct on Wednesday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Wednesday decreased by 1.43 percent, or 84.87 points, to 5,837.14 points.

Share price of Anglo American increased by 8.55 percent, topping the gainers of the blue chips. Rio Tinto, Glencore, Prudential and Hikma Pharmaceuticals increased by 4.17 percent, 3.37 percent, 1.48 percent and 1.43 percent respectively.

Barclays led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 4.69 percent, followed by Aberdeen Asset Management (4.55 percent), Shire (4.32 percent), Standard Chartered (4.28 percent) and Vodafone Group (3.90 percent). Endit
