Atletico Madrid agree deal for Brazilian starlet - reports

Atletico Madrid have agreed to sign highly rated Brazilian teenager Caio Henrique, according to media reports on Tuesday.

The 18-year-old has already confirmed his departure from Brazil's Santos, who he joined at the age of 10.

"It's a different and difficult moment for me," Henrique said on social media. "Today I want to thank Santos FC and say goodbye to this institution that opened its doors for me. I came here very young, devoted eight years of my life and I'm thankful for the privilege of wearing the Santos shirt."

Brazilian news portal Sambafoot said Atletico agreed to a deal for the starlet at the behest of football agent Jorge Mendes and former Barcelona playmaker Deco.

Henrique, who is yet to play senior first-team football, was linked with a move to Valencia last year. Endi
