Spanish stock market falls 2.96 pct, closes at 8,528 points

The Spanish stock market index Ibex-35 fell 2.96 percent on Tuesday to close at 8,528.70 points, down from the 8,788.50 points of Monday.

Sacyr shares led falls losing 7.91 percent, followed by OHL, Caixabank, Bankia, Banco Popular and Repsol that lost 7.24 percent, 6.27 percent, 6.10 percent, 5.87 percent and 5.79 percent respectively.

AENA shares also fell losing 0.14 percent, as well as R.E.C., Mediaset, Acciona and Iberdrola that lost 0.51 percent, 0.85 percent, 0.97 percent and 1.35 percent respectively.

Meanwhile, Spain's risk premium closed at 128.20 points, rising from the 121.3 points of Monday and Spain's 10-year bond interest rate stood at 1.58 percent, showing no big differences when compared with Monday closing time. Endit
