British FTSE 100 decreases 2.28 pct on Tuesday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Tuesday decreased by 2.28 percent, or 138.09 points, to 5,922.01 points.

Share price of Hikma Pharmaceuticals increased by 3.25 percent, topping the gainers of the blue chips. J Sainsbury, Associated British Foods, Berkeley Group Holdings and Admiral Group increased by 2.41 percent, 1.59 percent, 0.60 percent and 0.40 percent respectively.

BP led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 8.68 percent, followed by Prudential (8.22 percent), Anglo American (7.99 percent), BHP Billiton (6.74 percent) and Legal & General Group (6.71 percent). Endit
