Youngster striker Felix Platte moved from Schalke to newly promoted Darmstadt on loan, both Bundesliga sides confirmed on Monday.

At the final day of the transfer window in the Bundesliga, Darmstadt have bolstered their offence with the commitment of Platte, who stays with the "Lilien" on loan until the end of the season.

"Felix Platte is a young player with a lot of potential and exactly the kind of player we were looking for. We are confident that he can help us to achieve our goals," Darmstadt coach Dirk Schuster said.

The 19-year-old striker played since 2012 for Schalke's youth teams before he turned professional in November 2014. He made overall three appearances for Schalke's senior team.

"I am looking forward to the new challenge at Darmstadt. My goal is to play as many games as possible and to stay up," Platte said.

Darmstadt's new arrival received the jersey no. 19 and will join the team's training on Tuesday.

The "Lilien" clash with relegation threatened Hoffenheim at the closer of the 20th round in Bundesliga on Feb. 7. Endit
