Singapore stocks close 1.02 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 26.70 points, or 1.02 percent, to close at 2,602.41.

A total of 1.0 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1.07 billion Singapore dollars (753.5 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 203 to 183, while 537 others finished unchanged.

The STI index gained 66.66 points, or 2.6 percent, to close at 2,629.11 on Friday. Enditem
