Xinhua, January 31, 2016 Adjust font size:

The Communist Party of China's (CPC) top discipline watchdog has named and shamed officials who were found guilty of violating the Party's code of conduct in the agency's latest disclosure.

The violations, details of which were published on the website of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and related to 96 cases, included over-the-top weddings and funerals, illegal bonuses, misuse of official vehicles and banquets paid for with public funds.

Punishments included official warnings, demotion, expulsion from the CPC to removal from office. Cases involving criminal activity have been transferred to judicial organs.
