Swansea City goalkeeper Gerhard Tremmel joins Bremen

Gerhard Tremmel has joined Werder Bremen from Premier League outfit Swansea City on loan, both sides confirmed on Thursday.

The 37-year-old custodian agreed on a loan deal until the end of the season with the "Green-Whites.

"Gerhard Tremmel is a goalkeeper with great experience, who can help our young goalkeepers and cover Felix Wiedwald's back," Werder Bremen CEO Thomas Eichin told the club's official homepage.

Tremmel knows the Bundesliga as he already played for Unterhaching, Hannnover, Berlin and Cottbus to maker over 125 appearances.

Relegation threatened Werder Bremen clash with Berlin at the 19th round of Bundesliga on January 19. Endit
