British FTSE 100 decreases 0.98 pct on Thursday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Thursday decreased by 0.98 percent, or 58.59 points, to 5,931.78 points.

Share price of Anglo American increased by 8.73 percent, topping the gainers of the blue chips. Tesco, Royal Dutch Shell B, Royal Dutch Shell A, Smiths Group increased by 3.23 percent, 2.33 percent, 2.19 percent and 1.48 percent respectively.

Ashtead led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 7.77 percent, followed by Carnival (6.42 percent), International Consolidated Airlines Group (4.89 percent), Centrica (4.71 percent) and Shire (4.22 percent). Endit
