Shi Taifeng elected governor of Jiangsu

Shi Taifeng was elected governor of east China's Jiangsu Province on Thursday at the fourth plenary session of the 12th Jiangsu Provincial People's Congress.

The 59-year-old, with a Master of Law, worked with the Party School of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee for 25 years before switching to posts in Jiangsu since 2010.

From 2011, Shi served as deputy secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee. He was appointed vice governor and acting governor of the provincial government in December, 2015. Endi
