Flamengo set to sign Colombia midfielder Cuellar

Xinhua, January 24, 2016 Adjust font size:

Flamengo are expected to confirm the signing of Colombia international midfielder Gustavo Cuellar within days after agreeing financial terms with Deportivo Cali.

The Rio de Janeiro club will pay 2 million US dollars for the 23-year-old, who has agreed to a four-year deal, the Globo newspaper reported.

Cuellar arrived in Rio on Saturday and is expected to undergo a medical examination on Sunday.

He will be the ninth new signing for Flamengo since December and is expected to slot straight into Muricy Ramalho's first team.

Cuellar made his international debut when he was called up for Colombia's friendly against Peru in September. Endit
