Undefeated Keith Thurman will defend his World Boxing Association (WBA) welterweight title against former world champion Shawn Porter.

According to the promoters, the fight will be staged on March 12 at Mohegan Sun casino in Uncasville, Connecticut.

Thurman, holding a record of 26-0 with 22 knockouts, will make the second defense of the title he won last March by beating compatriot Robert Guerrero with an unanimous decision. Thurman beat US boxer Luis Collazo after seventh rounds last July in his first title defense.

Porter, former International Boxing Federation (IBF) welterweight title holder, has a record of 26-1-1 with 16 knockouts. Endit
