LeBron denies involvement in coach Blatt firing

Xinhua, January 24, 2016 Adjust font size:

LeBron James said he was surprised about the Cleveland Cavaliers decision to sack coach Dave Blatt and deined any involvement in it.

LeBron said on Saturday he was "surprised and caught off guard" by the club's move.

The Cavaliers fired Blatt despite the fact Blatt led the team to top the Eastern Conference at 30-11. Tyronn Lue will take over the team.

"This was one choice I didn't need to ask anyone about," Cavaliers general manager David Griffin said. "I know what something that's not right looks like."

Griffin said it was "unfair" to imply James LeBron had any role in the choice. Endit
