Jabari Brown helps Foshan to end 18-game CBA losing streak

Former LA Lakers player Jabari Brown made the deadly three-pointer to help tailenders Foshan beat league leaders Xinjiang 99-98, ending Foshan's 18-game losing streak in the 32nd round of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Friday.

While Xinjiang took the lead during most of the game, the home team nevered gave up and managed to take the home victory with Brown's three pointer in the last 5.8 seconds. Brown finished the game with 30 ponits. Andrew Goudelock scored a game-high 40 points for Xinjiang.

Liaoning beat Guangsha 121-109 in overtime for their 11th consecutive win and overtook Xinjiang for the top spot of the league standings.

As Iranian center Haddadi was still suspended for the second match, Sichuan was short in defense and beaten by Shandong in rebounds by 57-36. Michael Beasley contributed 30 points and 22 rebounds, teammate Pooh Jeter grabbed a game-high 43 points.

With the win, Shandong ranked third, ahead of Sichuan and Guangdong.

Stephen Marbury had a game-high 28 points to lead Beijing to overcome Shanghai 107-88.

Elsewhere, Jiangsu beat Beikong 120-116, Zhejiang defeated Tianjin 138-133, Fujian overwhelmed Shenzhen 111-72, Qingdao tamed Bayi 103-98 and Jilin won over Tongxi 108-94. Endit
