11th charged in Belgium in connection with Paris terror attacks: prosecutor

One of two men arrested in police raids in the Brussels district of Molenbeek earlier this week has been charged and remanded in custody, local media reported on Friday.

Zakaria J. is accused of terrorist killings and participating in the activities of a terrorist group, in connection with the attacks in Paris on Nov. 13.

He was arrested on Jan. 20 in Molenbeek during a search on a property. A raid was also carried out the following day at a nearby home, leading to the arrest of a man identified as Mustafa E., who was freed without charge on Thursday evening, the federal prosecutor said.

So far, 11 people have been charged in Belgium in connection with the Nov. 13 attacks in the French capital. Enditem
