Dc United keeper out for four to six months after knee surgery

Xinhua, January 22, 2016 Adjust font size:

DC United goalkeeper Bill Hamid received knee surgery and will be out of the competitions for four to six months, the MLS club announced on Thursday.

Hamid, 25, who is also a member of the United States national team, will miss 2018 Russia World Cup qualifying matches against Guatemala in March. But he will be hopefully available for the matches in September against Trinidad and Tobago, St. Vincent and Grenada.

Andrew Dykstra will take over for Hamid. DC United begins pre-season training next week in Florida. Endit
