Urgent: Syria talks expected to start "in a few days": Lavrov

The peace talks on the Syrian crisis are expected to begin in a few days, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Wednesday, following talks with U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry.

Kerry and Lavrov met here on Wednesday in a bid to narrow gaps ahead of a UN-mediated peace talks on Syria, which is hopefully to start in Geneva on Jan. 25. Endit
