Dollar trades in upper 117 yen range in early deals in Tokyo

The U.S. dollar traded in the upper 117 yen range Wednesday in early trade in Tokyo, with rates largely unchanged from those in New York overnight.

At 9 a.m., the dollar was changing hands at 117.54-55 yen compared with 117.59-69 yen in New York and 117.90-91 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.0911-0911 dollars and 128.25-26 yen against 1.0903-0913 dollars and 128.27-37 yen in New York and 1.0864-0866 dollars and 128.09-13 yen in Tokyo late Tuesday afternoon. Endit
