Urgent: China, Saudi Arabia pledge to oppose terrorism in any form

Xinhua, January 20, 2016 Adjust font size:

China and Saudi Arabia pledged Tuesday to resolutely oppose terrorism in any form that threatens world peace and stability, vowing to strengthen security cooperation.

"We are against linking terrorism with any religion or religious sect," the two countries announced in a joint statement signed as Chinese President Xi Jinping is visiting the kingdom.

China appreciates Riyadh's support for the establishment of a United Nations counter-terrorism center and supports the efforts of Saudi Arabia and other countries in combating terrorism, the statement said. Endi
