At least 10 injured in S.Korea's car pileup accident

At least 10 people have been confirmed injured on Tuesday in a South Korean accident that dozens of cars rear-ended each other on an icy road, Yonhap news agency reported citing fire authorities.

Tens of cars and trucks collided with each other at an expressway in the countrys southwest region at some 12:48 a.m. (0350 GMT). The road was slippery as it was heavily snowing.

About 30 cars are estimated to have been involved in the pileup collision.

At least 10 people have been confirmed wounded, with more casualties expected to be reported.

The fire authorities dispatched choppers and ambulances to the site. Endit
