Cambodian PM flies to Singapore for routine medical checkup

Xinhua, January 18, 2016 Adjust font size:

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen flew to Singapore on Monday morning for a regular medical checkup.

"At this time, I am in a hospital in Singapore. I do not have any serious disease that needs to be treated, but doctors require me to have my health checked up once a year," the prime minister said in a statement posted on his official Facebook page.

He said his body checkup in Singapore did not mean that he had no confidence in Cambodian doctors, but Cambodia lacks medical equipment for diagnosing some types of diseases.

He said he will return to Cambodia on Jan. 21. Enditem
