Three more wanted for Shenzhen landslide

Xinhua, January 15, 2016 Adjust font size:

Three more suspects responsible for the construction waste pile that collapsed and buried 77 people in Shenzhen last month are wanted by the police.

The Shenzhen Public Security Bureau urged Long Renfu, Wang Minghui and Lin Xixiao, to turn themselves in before Feb. 1 to be considered for lenient punishments.

A total of 17 people have been arrested over the fatal waste pile collapse on Dec. 20.

A total of 69 bodies have been recovered as of Friday, with another eight people remaining unaccounted for, the rescue headquarter said.

A State Council investigation found the disaster was a result of work safety mismanagement rather than geological causes. Endi
