Singapore stocks close 0.52 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 13.81 points, or 0.52 percent, to close at 2,630.76.

A total of 1.93 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1.09 billion Singapore dollars (756.9 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 281 to 141, while 505 others finished unchanged.

The STI index lost 51.93 points, or 1.93 percent, to close at 2,644.57 on Thursday. Enditem
