At least 13 people were killed on Wednesday in a suicide bomb attack in Cameroon's Far North region, an official says.

KABUL -- Two suicide bombings which struck the eastern Nangarhar and southern Helmand provinces on Wednesday, have claimed 13 lives including four attackers in Afghanistan, officials said.
In the first violent bombing, which happened near Pakistan Consulate in Nangarhar's provincial capital Jalalabad, 120 km east of Afghan capital of Kabul, at 08:50 a.m. local time triggering gun battle, which lasted nearly four hours, leaving 10 people including three attackers dead, a police officer at the site of the blast said. LASHKAR GAH, Afghanistan -- A total of 11 people, including nine Afghan police and two militants, have been killed as clashes erupted in Gereshk district of the southern Helmand province on Wednesday.
"A group of armed Taliban rebels attacked police checkpoints in Adam Khan area of Gereshk district at 3:00 a.m. local time (2230 GMT Tuesday), which triggered gun battle and have left nine police and two insurgents dead," district governor Mohammad Sharif told Xinhua. (Afghanistan-Battle)
