Iranian fighter jet crashes, 2 pilots killed: report

An Iranian fighter jet crashed in the southeastern Sistan and Baluchestan province on Tuesday, two pilots killed, local media reported.

The F-4 fighter jet of Iran's air force crashed in Konark area during training, reports said.

The security deputy of Sistan and Baluchestan governor told ISNA news agency that technical problems were the causes.

The pilot had intended to land the jet on a road in Konark, but failed due to the vehicle traffic, the security deputy was quoted as saying.

Iran has seen several air accidents of both civil and military aircraft in recent years. Endit
