Drug gang busted in Lhasa

Xinhua, January 8, 2016 Adjust font size:

Police have apprehended 12 drug suspects in Tibet, local authorities said on Friday.

They also seized more than 700 grams of crystal methamphetamine, the largest amount of the drug ever seized in Lhasa.

Police were given information last October about a man dealing drugs who they found to be a member of a gang. In December they caught him red-handed and swooped on other gang members at the same time.

Police also seized more than 76,000 yuan (about 11,500 U.S. dollars), two vehicles and 17 mobile phones.

The investigation continues. Endi
