Chinese shares close higher Friday

China's stocks closed higher on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 1.97 percent, at 3,186.41points.

The smaller Shenzhen index gained 1.2 percent to close at 10,888.91 points. The ChiNext Index, which tracks China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, dropped 0.33 percent to close at 2,248.99 points. Endi
