Slovenia's refugee control measures "irresponsible": Croatian official

Slovenia's additional control measures on refugees was unilateral and "irresponsible", Croatian takecare minister of interior Ranko Ostojic said on Wednesday.

Earlier, Bostjan Sefic, the state secretary of Slovenian interior ministry, said Slovenia would ask the neighboring country to provide a list of refugees who crossing the border between the two countries and to submit their personal data. If it fails Slovenia would refuse to receive them.

Ostojic said, Croatia have immediately informed Brussels and countries on the migrant route about Slovenia's decision.

He added Croatia also expected the countries to submit the same information and to obey by the same rules, otherwise those people will be sent back.

Croatia would continue to insist on a coordinated activities of all countries on that route, he said.

Despite heavy snow and low temperatures for days, refugees continue to arrive in Croatia with average more than 1,000 every day. Since the middle of September, 2015, nearly 570,000 refugees have passed through Croatia, according to local media. Endit
