Three Russian naval ships of the Pacific Fleet on Wednesday arrived at Tien Sa Port in Vietnam's central Da Nang City, some 600 km south of capital Hanoi, beginning a four-day visit.

The vessels include an oil tanker, a rescue ship and a destroyer named Bystry. The visit aims at strengthening defense cooperation between Vietnam and Russia, especially among the two navies, according to the website of Vietnamese Ministry of Defense.

During their stay, the 450 Russian crew members and officers are scheduled to pay courtesy calls to the High Commands of Military Region 5 and Naval Region 3 and Da Nang People's Committee.

They will also join in sports exchanges with the Naval Region 3 and visit famous destinations in the central region. Endit
